3 Days / 2 Nights at Mawamba Lodge
Day 01 - Mawamba
6:00-7:00 am Pick up at major hotels in San José
08:00 am Stop for Typical Costa Rican breakfast included at Río Danta Restaurant in Guápiles
09:00 am Departure to Puerto Astúa in Matina
11:00 am Arrival to Puerto Astúa private dock. Enjoy a selection of tropical fruits, fresh water and board boats for ride to Tortuguero and Mawamba Lodge
1:15-1:30 pm Arrival to Mawamba Lodge and lunch at restaurant
03:00 pm Afternoon tour to Tortuguero town, starting at the entrance to the beach in front of the hotel. Visit the Caribbean Conservation Corporation Museum and the village
05:00 pm Return by boat to lodge for free time, enjoy pool area and surroundings
07:30 pm Dinner at lodge
Day 02 - Mawamba
05:45 am Meet for coffee & crackers at the Entertainment room
06:00 am Morning boat tour through the Tortuguero Canals
08:00 am Return for breakfast at the lodge
09:00 am Departure by boat to Tortuguero Hill or National Park, where you will enjoy a hiking trip in the trails
12:00 noon Arrival and lunch included at the hotel
03:00 pm Afternoon canal boat tour
05:00 pm Return to lodge for relaxation
07:30 pm Dinner at the lodge. Optional night tour -extra charge- to search the turtle nesting (during season July - September)
Day 03 - Mawamba

09:00 am Meet at docks for return boat ride to Puerto Astúa in Matina
11:00 am Arrival to Puerto Astúa. Enjoy selection of tropical fruits and fresh water. Board bus for return drive to San José

01:45-02:00 pm Return drive to San José
03:30 - 04:00 pm Drop off at major hotels in San José

Free day to join us in one of our daily tours, including morning & afternoon boat tours in the canals or hiking trip to
Tortuguero Hill or National Park. Also enjoy hotels facilities including pool area, nature trails, butterfly garden &
entertainment room. Optional & additional cost activities include fishing and canoeing in the area. All meals & lodging included at the hotel.
Day 04 - Mawamba

09:00 am Meet at docks for return boat ride to Puerto Astúa in Matina
11:00 am Arrival to Puerto Astúa. Enjoy selection of tropical fruits and fresh water. Board bus for return drive to San José

Entrance fees to Tortuguero National Park $7 one day pass / $10 two day pass and Caribbean Conservation Corporation $1 are not included, need to be paid at location.
Children 0-4 years old are free of charge when sharing the room with 2 adults,
children 5-11 years have a 50% discount over the adult package rate.
Maximum 02 children per room.
All rooms have a maximum capacity of 04 people, either with 04 single beds or 1 double
and two singles (subject to availability).

abounds in the midst of the Rainforest.
Tortuguero, is a navigable network of lake and canals that cross the National Park from Southeast to Northwest and
accessible only by land, boat or air. The are no roads to get here!.
During your stay, enjoy our pool surrounded by exotic gardens and relax in the ranchos with hammocks.
Comfortable rooms with ceiling fans provide tranquil garden views. Stroll through the nature trails
or take a leisurely walk on the pristine beach in front of the Lodge.
Guest accommodations consist of 36 comfortable rooms with private bathrooms,
hot water, ceiling fans and chairs for a pleasant, relaxing evening. Hotel
facilities include two docks on the canals, swimming pool with Jacuzzi, two
family-style restaurants with local and international cuisine , BBQ, bar,
souvenir shop, relaxing ranchos with hammocks, natural trails, beach access
in walking distance, sand volleyball court, and and conference room where
daily lectures on Tortuguero's natural history are presented. These
